I studied RHS Practical Horticulture at Bridgwater, Cannington Walled Gardens.

• Practical skills in ground preparation for seeding and planting

• Practical skills in establishing seeds and plants in soil

• Care and pruning of plants

• Growing vegetables

• Identification of a range of common plants, weeds, pests, diseases, disorders and beneficial organisms

• Safe operation of powered garden machinery

We planted a community orchard and perimeter fence for Sedgemoor Council; planted spring and summer borders within Cannington's Walled gardens, pruned Cannington Church's hedges also visited Stourhead and RHS Rosemoor.

We were very lucky to have an incredible, inspiring tutor who was an encyclopedia of knowledge and to have a close-knit tutor group who are still in contact today and meet up for regular horticulture outings. Past trips include: Yeo Valley Organic Gardens, East Lambrook Manor, RHS Malvern Spring Show and Bishop's Palace Wells.
